The children participated in a national art event – The Big Draw – in October. The theme was to ‘Come Back to Colour’, eluding to the idea of hope after the challenge posed by the pandemic and its effects on normalcy.
Sumayya Apa, our Art Lead, developed a plan to explore the concept of hope and connection using The Dot, a book by Peter Reynolds, and to create a whole-school piece of interconnected parts. The result is a striking collage that is displayed in the school foyer.
