Over the years pupil numbers have grown, and the size of the current building means demand for places can not be met.
Through the fadhl of The Almighty and the du‘as of our akabir (elders) and of parents and well-wishers, the school recently acquired new premises at auction. The new site, Collegiate House, is not only close to the current school, it is big enough to allow for better facilities, a larger intake of children and for future expansion of charity activities.
The property consists of a three storey main building with basement, 2 storey annex, portacabin and space for a playground and parking.
The main building has 33 rooms, including WCs, kitchen and utility rooms, with a gross internal area of 981sqm.
Combined floor area of approximately 1,400sqm.
I understand you would like former students of Collegiate School to contact you with any memories or information about the buildings. I was a student there in the 1970s, albeit a poor and rather unwilling one, but I have a good recall of the layout and the changes that were made to it. I was also one of a group of old girls who were allowed to visit before the buildings were closed prior to being being put up for sale last year. I would be happy to talk to you.
